“I’m so thankful for Becky’s work as a postpartum doula! It was a relief to count on Becky’s visits during the most stressful months of our family’s life. Her gentle advice, knowledge, and experience helped take the edge off the complexity of dealing with babies only 11 months apart. Becky understood the stress my body and brain were experiencing and helped my foggy brain work through difficult decisions like whether or not I was willing to let the baby cry at nap time and when to ask friends and family for help. She also made sure my needs were assessed and met. I have never felt more in need of expert help and care, and Becky provided both!”

“With the impending arrival of my third child, I knew I would need help, so Becky was one of my first calls! Her calm demeanor and experience as a mother and doula was such a gift to me after my daughter was born. She not only helped me manage my home in countless ways, but she helped me process my birth story in those tender first weeks. She provided invaluable emotional support and friendship and was a key part of me getting back on my feet after birth!”

“After a traumatic birth and long extended recovery with my first infant, I knew when I was pregnant with my second that I needed more support postpartum. I am so grateful that Becky was our post-partum doula for our second son. It would have made a huge difference looking back if I had known about this type of support in recovery the first time around. Becky supported our family in so many ways in those early weeks when life was especially difficult with lack of sleep in addition to the physical demands of nursing and recovery from labor and delivery. Becky was there to assist with my older son. She encouraged him in supporting me and his new baby brother and helped him feel like he was also a part of this new family. Becky also helped me get the physical support I needed. She made sure I had snacks and water, helped me get everything I needed for nursing, and assisted with light household tasks I was not yet physically able to do. She also helped me brainstorm when I had trouble with breastfeeding and connected me with a lactation consultant when we needed extra support. She emotionally encouraged me each step along the way so that I was able to cherish those early weeks. We were all so happy to see Becky walk through the door! If we ever have a third baby, Becky will be my first call!”

“Becky provided great support to me during my breast-feeding ‘high stress’ period when I was fighting engorgement. She evaluated latch and positioning, which helped to ease my time and promote better feeding. Her willingness to help wherever was needed was invaluable. She entertained my toddler while I fed the baby, and kept everyone happy while I took a shower. Having some sense of normalcy was incredible. She also worked with me to help my toddler adjust to the new baby, which had been one of my biggest concerns. She eased my worries and reassured us that we were doing everything needed to move forward as a family of four. Her own experiences as a mom helped to bring insight into my own situation and I am so grateful.”

“Becky provided a calming presence during the first few weeks with our newborn. She helped me navigate all the information that was getting thrown at me by my midwife and my daughter's pediatrician. Becky listened and helped me process through my birth story. She encouraged me and provided excellent support when it came to breastfeeding challenges. Not only did Becky do a great job supporting me, she also was great at coming alongside my husband and helping him in a season where I was unable to do that. I will want Becky's help again whenever more children come!”

Bringing home a premie without any family nearby was hard. Getting a "failure to thrive" diagnosis at the two month checkup was worse. Stepping into motherhood is difficult in the best of circumstances. Everyone has moments where they doubt themselves and can't tell which way is up. Becky's presence anchored us. The days she was there were more centered and the days in between were less overwhelming because I knew she was coming again soon.

Becky found such a beautiful way to walk alongside our family during an incredibly difficult season. Some days she would start doing a household chore while asking me gentle questions, sometimes we would cook together, and occasionally she would just sit and listen to me word vomit every detail I observed about my infant's behavior while I nursed for the 7th time since midnight. Becky's warm presence always made me feel better; but not because she gave pat answers or black and white solutions. She always found a way to encourage and validate us, which is exactly the kind of healing my body and heart needed during postpartum care.

Becky was exceptional in aiding in both the emotional and physical health following the birth of my son. Mothering the mother is exactly what she does and she is amazing at it! I would recommend her to anyone who is interested in partnering with a doula.
